Experimental Cocktail Club - flatiron NEW YORK

6 W 24 St - New York 10010

august 2024

One floor down, we enter the entrails of the place : the cocktail bar.

Here, it is no longer with the leaves that we played but with the roots of their trees. Flexible, they descend from the ceiling, wrap around the columns, embrace the globes of the lamps, and structure the walls. Successively in lacquered wood or shiny metal when they invade the counter and its shelves of bottles.

A dark, hushed, very warm atmosphere thanks to the large benches covered in Zak+Fox fabrics, the colored glass wall lights by Sophie Lou Jacobsen, as well as large mirrors.

This deliberately organic space revisits the codes of Art Nouveau, dear to French bistros and brasseries, but in a more nocturnal vision with amber hues reminiscent of scotch, rye, and rum !

A large white lacquered piano is placed in the middle, for a pianist of course, or a DJ, in a nod to the Experimental Cocktail club in Paris.
